THE LIGHT OF THE BEAST – book presentation with P. Allison

British-Mexican photographer Pablo Allison has been travelling through Mexico with migrants since 2007. Since then, Allison has been trying to understand the lives of migrants and their intricacies by documenting the journey on the “Beast” and its consequences.
What began as a series of illegal journeys on goods trains in Mexico with no clear destination led to a breathtaking documentary about people fleeing extreme poverty and facing massive violence in the process. These are people who hope for a better life in the United States and accept an inhumane journey to get there.
The publication THE LIGHT OF THE BEAST features numerous photographs by Allison, poems and texts by migrants.
The new edition at BEYOND the STREETS from 2023 has been expanded with extensive graffiti content.
The book presentation by Pablo Allison will be held in English, followed by a moderated discussion and signing session.
The publication can be purchased on site.
The event is free of charge – donations are welcome.
