Streetart & Murals in der Friedrichstadt

Murals and graffiti characterize the houses, underpasses and walls in the colorful Friedrichstadt. It all started with a turbulent sub-scene in the mid-90s. After the fallow paintings, the exhibition “Muralismo Morte” in the Motorenhalle followed in 2009, which made the artists known, helped public acceptance and together with the riesa efau, the first official large sized mural was created in Friedrichstadt. Since then, many other large-format murals have been created.

The Dresden artist Jens Besser is one of the muralists who created these works of art. He will guide you through Friedrichstadt.

For current reasons, we ask you to donate up to € 12. The city of Dresden plans to cut the cultural budget by 12%. We think that goes too far in the current cultural crisis.

The safety and health of our guests is our top priority: we ask you to observe the current hygiene rules. This includes keeping a distance (at least 1.5 m away from all people who do not live in a household) and wearing a nose and throat protection during the event. The number of participants is limited to 15 people. The tour lasts an hour.
