Sammlungswerkstätten, RadKunstWurf, Vorbereitungen des 8. LackStreicheKleber-Festivals und Urban Art Around The World

Resultierend aus der Gesprächsrunde „fame, botten, Sprühfrisch-Poster“ am 30.10.2024 begannen 2025 die ersten Sammlungswerkstätten zur Aufarbeitung der Dresdner Urban Art Geschichte. Am 11. April wurde im Cafe des Stadtmuseum Dresden die erste Sammlungswerkstatt realisiert. 

Der LackStreicheKleber e.V. rief gemeinsam mit weiteren Akteuren der Dresdner Urban Art Szene dazu auf, mögliche Objekte für die Sammlung des Stadtmuseums zu finden. Zur Werkstatt erschienen über 25 Personen mit mehr als 25 Objekten. 

Die mitgebrachten Objekte wurden fotodokumentiert. Eigentümerkontakte wurden notiert um später mit den Eigentümern erneut in Kontakt treten zu können. 

Die zweite Sammlungswerkstatt fand am 9.5. im Rahmen des All 4/1 Festivals vor der Dresdner Robotron-Kantine statt. Erneut beteiligten sich lokale Urban Art Akteure und brachten weitere Objekte mit.

Die dritte Sammlungswerkstatt fand am 12.09.2025 auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen „B-Werks“ Strehlener Straße statt. Anders als bei der vorherigen Gesprächsrunden, wurde an einem konkreten Ort über die Graffitigeschichte gesprochen. Während der Werkstatt wurde begonnen relevante Orte der Dresdner Urban Art zu kartieren.  

RadKunstWurf – Kunstverteilaktion

Am 17.5.2026 wurde die alljährliche Kunstverteilaktion „RadKunstWurf“ durchgeführt. Von Studentinnen der TU Dresden und Jens Besser wurden im Vorfeld gesprühte Kunstwerke geschaffen, die nun zufällig vom Rad aus an das Dresdner Publikum verteilt wurden. An der Verteilaktion beteiligten sich 10 Personen, die über 100 Kunstrollen Dresdner Passanten zuwarfen.

Vorbereitungen des 8. LackStreicheKleber – Urban Art Festival Dresden 

Am 24. Juni 2025 begannen die Vorbereitungen des 8. LackStreicheKleber – Festivals. Im ersten öffentlichen Vorbereitungstreffen in der Hanse 3 wurden mögliche Inhalte, Kooperationen und Förderanträge besprochen. Eingeladen wurde per E-Mail, über Beiträge in sozialen Netzwerken und die Vereinswebsite. Ein weiteres öffentliches Treffen fand am 15. Juli statt. Ende August wurden Förderanträge beim Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz der Stadt Dresden und der Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen eingereicht. Weitere informelle Treffen fanden bis Jahresende statt.

Ausstellung „Urban Art Around The World“ 

In den Räumlichkeiten des Projekttheater Dresden wurden ab dem 21.11.2025 unter dem Titel „Urban Art Around The World“ Teile der Artothek des LackStreicheKleber e.V.  gezeigt. Über 30 Kunstwerke internationaler Urban Art Künstler konnten bis zum Juni 2026 gesehen werden.

Collection Workshops, RadKunstWurf, preparations for the 8th LackStreicheKleber Festival and Urban Art Around The World

fame, botten, Sprühfrisch – Posters – Collection Workshops

Following on from the round-table discussion ‘fame, botten, Sprühfrisch – Posters’ on 30 October 2024, the first collection workshops aimed at documenting Dresden’s urban art history began in 2025. On 11 April, the first collection workshop took place in the café of the Dresden City Museum.

LackStreicheKleber e.V., together with other key figures from Dresden’s urban art scene, launched an appeal to identify potential objects for the City Museum’s collection. Over 25 people attended the workshop, bringing with them more than 25 objects.

The objects brought along were photographed for documentation. Contact details for the owners were noted so that they could be contacted again at a later date.

The second collection workshop took place on 9 May as part of the All 4/1 Festival in front of the Robotron canteen in Dresden. Once again, local urban art practitioners took part and brought further objects with them.

The third collection workshop took place on 12 September 2025 on the site of the former ‘B-Werk’ on Strehlener Straße. Unlike the previous discussion sessions, the history of graffiti was discussed at a specific location. During the workshop, work began on mapping relevant sites of Dresden’s urban art scene.

RadKunstWurf – Art Distribution Campaign

On 17 May 2026, the annual art distribution campaign ‘RadKunstWurf’ took place. Works of art, spray-painted in advance by female students from TU Dresden and Jens Besser, were distributed at random to the Dresden public from bicycles. Ten people took part in the distribution campaign, throwing over 100 rolls of art to pedestrians in Dresden.

Preparations for the 8th LackStreicheKleber – Urban Art Festival Dresden

On 24 June 2025, preparations for the 8th LackStreicheKleber Festival began. At the first public preparatory meeting at Hanse 3, potential programme content, partnerships and funding applications were discussed. People were invited via email, social media posts and the association’s website. Another public meeting took place on 15 July. At the end of August, funding applications were submitted to the City of Dresden’s Office for Culture and Heritage Protection and the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony. Further informal meetings took place until the end of the year.

‘Urban Art Around The World’ Exhibition

From 21 November 2025, parts of the LackStreicheKleber e.V. Artothek (art library) were exhibited at the Projekttheater Dresden under the title ‘Urban Art Around The World’. Over 30 works by international urban artists were on display until June 2026.
